I am an artist currently living in Orlando, Fl. I studied fine arts at New World School of the Arts and at Florida International University where I received a BFA in 1994 with a major in Ceramics. I have worked in a variety of mediums, my preferred being ceramics and metal. Most recently, I have found a new creative avenue in fused-glass, which I consider a natural progression from my work with clays and glazes.

Originally from Cuba, my family and I moved to the United States at the age of eight. I quickly took up every opportunity to learn and practice art. At the age of 15, I was encouraged by a teacher to apply to New World School of the Arts and became one of a select group of students admitted to the program.

With my direction clear, I graduated and moved on to college where I spent two years at New World College and finished my BFA at Florida International University. It was at FIU that I started to develop an interest in computer graphics and pursued a computer science education.

After graduating from FIU, I began a career in the burgeoning industry of computer graphics. I explored all facets of the computer revolution, from programming to 3D animation and multimedia development. During this time I worked in several well established firms and was lead creative on interactive projects for companies, such as Coca-Cola, Powerade, Siemens, and Ford. Subsequently, after spending over a decade in this industry, the creativity that once fueled me had no outlet.

Starting in 2000, I began to apply a newfound passion and commitment to fine arts; working in multiple mediums. In 2006, my wife and adventurous sidekick, Lorri, became increasingly involved in the production of my work and is now an indispensable studio assistant, which has allowed us to make this a full-time business. We look forward to sharing our art with you.
